GOD IS STILL SPEAKING
Learn, Grow & Connect
A foundational piece of who we are as Richfield Church as well as the United Church of Christ, is that we understand there is yet more light and truth to break forth from God’s Holy Word.
We understand the Bible as our primary source for understanding the good news and as foundational for all statements of faith.
We recognize that the Bible, though written in specific historical times and places, still speaks to us in our present condition because God is a still speaking God.
We declare that the study of Scripture is not limited by past interpretations but is to be pursued with expectancy for new insights and help for living today.

Barb Simmons &
Sally Buesch Scholarship
Barb Simmons was a member of our congregation for many years. During that time, she was very active in the choir, church boards, and teaching Sunday school.
After her death in May of 2009, the Christian Education Board established the Barb Simmons Scholarship for graduating high school seniors from the Richfield United Church of Christ congregation.
Sally Buesch was a long-time member of the RUCC and an educator. In her memory, a donation was given to the Christian Education Board to be used as a continuing education scholarship.
In 2022, the Christian Education Board combined the two awards with the blessing of both the Simmons family and the Buesch donor.

Jim & Ruth Miller Scholarship
Jim and Ruth Miller were lifelong advocates of education and longtime members of the Richfield United Church of Christ. Their desire was to leave behind a legacy scholarship to assist active RUCC members with some of the costs of higher education.
After Jim passed away in 2014 (Ruth preceded Jim), the Christian Education Board helped bring their legacy to life with this scholarship for College.
The Christian Education Board awards the scholarship to former youth group members who have completed at least one semester of higher education and exhibit traits that were exemplified and highly valued by Mr. And Mr. Miller.
